Approach to Healthcare
As a pediatric urologist, I enjoy how the artistry of reconstruction often overlaps with the mechanics of function. I am happy to offer minimally-invasive procedures, when appropriate, along with more traditional approaches to surgery depending on the needs of the patient and the complexity of the problem. I am both a mother and a surgeon; I understand the fears of a parent and strive to minimize stress on a family by providing a comprehensive view of disease and a thorough review of its treatment options. When a child has a medical problem, there will always be anxiety and uncertainty, but I believe the key to reassurance is through information and communication. I hope to partner with caregivers so that a cohesive team is working to make the child better.
